Welcome to Kathy Edwards Art! I make art because I have to.  Sometimes my fingers just itch to record what I see all around me in this beautiful region of Western Nebraska and Wyoming.  I popped a few photos of my home here.  Sometimes, I just have to squish paint around and play.  I found out at a young age that art was my form of communication.  As an 11th grader, my high school had to cut the art program due to budget shortages.  But, the Home Economics teacher explained that I could have an art class if I taught it for the other interested students and she would be the "adult" in the room.  Yay!  I was painfully shy at that point but soon found out that art was a language we had in common in that room.  Needless to say, I didn't "teach" anything, we all just learned together.  It still warms my heart to think of that tiny room and the sense of wonder we shared.
